I’m so glad you’re here. In my work and personal life, I’m constantly surrounded by stylish, intelligent, resourceful women 35+ living full lives on their own terms. But the airbrushed “stage sets” in so many design magazines don’t seem to fit with what I know are daily improvisations just to get out of the door & hopefully with a little flair! So I created this site for myself and for others, as a place to put a spotlight on accessible interior design, wearable fashion, organizing hacks and inspiring art, creativity, and beauty.
I have a 20-year background in corporate brand marketing and have worked with many CEO’s & entrepreneurs, so I’m particularly passionate about showcasing the work of women founders who are developing beautiful goods & services for women.
I’m originally from Connecticut where my dad is a watercolor artist (85 years old & still painting! you can check it out at GayleAsher.com) and my mom was a decorator. I now live in an 1870s townhouse in Washington DC with my husband, teenage daughters and 2 dogs. I’m a big fan of coffee, the perfect shade of blue, our farmhouse in New Hampshire, acoustic John Mayer and any fabric sold at John Rosselli.
